We'd like to introduce some members of our terrific team.
| Bill | Bill is an American from Massachusetts, and you can read about his mission here. |
| Cin |
Early on, Bill asked Cin to check out the situation on the island. She and a group of her friends went all over the island interviewing fishermen. She created a detailed report, with names, addresses, boat type and damage, and when possible, estimates of repairs. Cin is crucial to the operation, gathering information, following up on new leads, networking, reporting, tracking repairs, helping Bill make money decisions, teaching Bill political issues, sensing wants versus needs, and so much more. |
| Pui |
Pui works hard to arrange people and trucks for major supply purchases off Ko Lanta Island and does a lot of interpreting. |
| Noot |
Noot spent hours translating Cin’s report from Thai into English, then helped fine tune it. |
| Butch |
Butch is a Belgian DiveMaster who lived on Ko Lanta teaching scuba to tourists. The Tsunami washed away Butch's business completely. Since the disaster Butch's role in our mission has mirrored Bill's actions. They've complemented one another’s efforts. Until now their efforts have been to repair those few boats that were not destroyed. Now Butch's efforts have taken him to the nearby island of Ko Jum where Butch and another European have begun working to create a small shipyard to build new boats to replace those lost or damaged beyond repair. |
| others | There are other folks, too numerous to mention, who've helped out in so many, many ways. |
| Our donors | The folks who donate the funds are the most important part of the team, Thank you all! |
