Some time late last spring my friend Bill recounted to me that, during
meditation, he'd been given a call to go to the Far East "to learn an important
spiritual lesson".  He has a huge faith, so he did as he was told.

He sent me an email in June that contained the following words:

"and I've left everything and everyone behind and am "alone" (with 10 million
other people), open to direction on my spirit path, and have no idea where
that may lead, so in that sense, yes, I'm walking in great faith.

"Perspective.

"A change yet?  No, not really.  What I did realize, just this morning...is a
new insight on my intention to open to Christ consciousness.  I thank Spirit
daily for helping me remember who I really am (my divine consciousness).  I
have an intellectual concept of this, and am seeking the experience.  That's
not new.

"What is new is 'remembering who I am' is not just a spiritual pursuit.  With
my new level of freedom, I get to see who I really am.  I'm a paradox.

"I love Spirit deeply and thought I'd spend my time seeking quiet meditation,
spiritual solitude, walks in the mountains, by the sea...almost a monkish
way. And I do spend time daily inside myself; in prayer, singing,
journaling, a lot reading...that sort of thing.

"And, I'm also relaxing, swimming in the pool, walking for miles in this
noisy crowded, polluted city almost every day.....
"

Bill eventually spent time in Phuket, then in Kho Phi Phi.  He'd recently traveled to
Sabah, Eastern Malaysia when he got word of the Tsunami on Dec 26.  He immediately
returned to Phuket and has been working to help any way he can ever since.
While he was helping out in Phuket he was interviewed by Dan Rather January 4,
so you may have seen him on the evening news.

I hope that shows you a little of Bill.  You'd like him.  I know you would.

Bill's survived and is pitching in
