The earthquake is devastating, I'm okay, very far away on Sabah, eastern Malaysia.
My friend Marco lives (lived?) on Kho Phi Phi, I don't know if he died today. I was there just a few weeks ago.
Many hundreds are dead already in several countries.
Prayers please. It's not over, aftershocks and tidal waves continue.
I may try to get there or somewhere affected to help with recovery efforts.

Dear friends and family, please forgive the brevity. I'm fine and working hard, long tough days doing a variety of things to help. The death toll is horrific. The volunteer spirit is magnificent. Many thousands doing whatever it takes to help identify the dead, clear debris, feed, clothe, counsel, and etc.
I'm exhausted but ok.
I'll write more soon.
